West End Infill

This is a design study for the potential redevelopment of a former one-story dry cleaning business and parking lot on Ithaca’s West End into a mixed-use building with ground floor commercial and upper level residential units. The form of the building responds to the city’s new State Street Corridor zoning allowing for 6 stories facing State Street and stepping down to 4 stories along Seneca Street. The blend of traditional and modern design elements speak to both Ithaca’s past and future.
